Here we go. 2nd round of the stat-machine at work
There’s been some movement and some kings still reign.
I’ve added a few columns: High, Low, and Movement (up or down) within the rankings. Remember, I’m not ranking team defenses because I just don’t care.
Quarterbacks
Okay, so there’s been a little movement. Brady had an “off-week” with 27.98 points. Keep in mind, he tossed 4 picks. However, look at Aaron Rodgers. You can count on him for 28 pts/game with the lowest standard deviation. If you remember in my pre-season predictions for MVP, I tlkaed about delivering the goods with low variation and I said the man to do so would be Aaron Rodgers.
Running Backs
LukeNukem is totally soaking his tighty-whities over DMC’s assumption of the thrown. And though McFadden is averaging 27/game…he’s done so with more variability. However, he’s beginning an upward trend. And considering he thrashed the Jets DMC could be making a play for fantasy AND NFL MVP. Other than that, you can see Tolber is declining with Ryan Matthews on the rise. Expect him to fall off.
Wide Receivers
Okay, so we’re not surprised that Welker’s at the top. I’m curious to see if we get another sub-20 performance out of him. However, take a look at Andre Johnson. He’s virtually a lock to give you 22/game. It’s nice to be able to count on a guy for 20+.
Tight Ends
Okay, so I noticed I held it against Austin for sitting out but not Hernandez. Oh well, fuck the Cowboys. Rob’s still at the top. So, the Pats are fielding the Top QB, WR, and TE. Where’s that running game? Or defense? The wackiest TE is also your #2–Finley. So we see great upside, but at this point, I’d count on him for about 12-15. I like Jimmy Graham as he’s almost a lock to give you 15-17 at the TE position.
Okay, that’s it for now. Use the match up tool, rankings, and the data and go win your league!
