Here’s your Matchup Tool with numbers through Week 7 to help you get set for your Week 8 games. Each chart ranks NFL defenses in terms of fantasy points allowed to QB, WR, RB and TE, from the most average points allowed to the fewest. Only the most recent five weeks of numbers are displayed, but the Average and Total columns include each team’s numbers on the season.
This tool will help you with sit/start decisions based on matchups. Remember, we can’t save you from your own stupidity. If you choose to bench a stud because of a bad matchup and he goes off, that’s on you. That said, these numbers can help you choose between two comparable players or pick your best flex matchup. Use them wisely. And PLAY YOUR STUDS. Did we mention that?
We’re into the bye weeks, so keep that in mind when looking at these numbers. The lists are sorted by average points allowed per week from most fantasy points allowed to fewest. Be sure to look at both the Total and Average points allowed to get a better idea how weak or strong each defense is in terms of limiting fantasy production, but keep in mind that 12 teams have now had byes, which will skew their Total number compared to currently-byeless teams.
